Some of you may already know this, but for those who don’t: we used to own a farm in Oxford that is now home to Forsyth Grove. Around 2015 or so—if my memory serves me right—Keith started planting an apple orchard there, made up of approximately 150 trees with several different varieties.
We moved from that farm in 2020 and never got to experience the harvest—or the full potential—of that orchard… until last night. We had the privilege of visiting Forsythe Grove and picking apples for the first time from an orchard we thought we would never see again. Funny how life works.
All that to say: starting tomorrow, we will have GRANVILLE COUNTY-GROWN APPLES FOR SALE! 🍎
Also, if you’re interested in experiencing apple picking in Granville County, hurry over to Forsythe Grove’s website and reserve your spot! Apples don’t last long in our climate and will likely be gone by the end of August.
We will have quarter-peck bags of apples for sale in the store starting tomorrow for $10 per bag.
Varieties include:
· Candy Crisp
· Gala
· Winesap
· Jona Red
Come see us! We also have many more local products to shop from!
Hours Saturday: 10am to 4pm!
Location: 3257 Tump Wilkins Rd in Stem!
