Hunting season is starting up back home in Texas, but Laramie’s a few states north, putting miles on the boots in Idaho for his yearly bear hunt.

Funny thing about hunting. The country changes. The animal changes. The weather sure changes. But that feeling doesn’t.

You wake up early. You walk farther than you planned. You get tired, dusty, cold, hot, sometimes all in the same day. And somehow, you still wouldn’t rather be anywhere else.

Here’s to another season, another hunt, and another reason to get outside and remember why we love doing this in the first place.

Stay safe out there.

Opening day of dove season is here.

Good luck to all our hunters heading out this morning. Shoot straight, enjoy the time with your people, and make a few memories while you’re at it.

Most importantly, stay safe. Know what’s beyond your target, keep those muzzles pointed in a safe direction, and look out for the folks hunting beside you.

Here’s to full limits, good dogs, better stories, and another hunting season underway.
