Let me tell you about the infamous Zoe bug

A batsh*t crazy barrel horse I rescued when I was 19.

I asked my dad for money to get my wisdom teeth removed and bought a horse instead🙈🙊
(don’t take advice from me 😂)
(I did pay him back and got my wisdom teeth removed so it worked out 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Found ad on Craigslist (yes it was still a thing -before it was all spammed with ads for lawnmowers)
She was FLASHY gorgeous pictures… until we got there we saw She was severely neglected. Hundreds of pounds underweight showing every bone, sharp teeth, cracked shovel hooves no sparkle in her eyes.

Heartbreaking

Sweet and stubborn we brought her home. (After almost an hour of trying to load I may add)

Took months of rehab and got her back to a healthy weight. This photo was the first time I rode her off the property.

Let me tell ya about Zoey she was a HOT momma and a lot of horse so she was intimidating and constantly made me question what the hell am I doing?!! She may not have not been ridden as much as I would’ve liked and was constantly up to no good but she always had a soft landing with me.

We posted photos of her recovery process and crazy enough we actually got in touch with one of her old owners (one of MANY)

She had 6 owners in 2 years because she was “too much horse”.

She got herself in many pickles and was mentally and physically not sound majority of the years I owned her but I promised her she would never have another owner as long as I lived. 19 years old in college working part time I still took her on and fully covered all her expenses even when I moved to Texas she came with me. I laid this wild sole to rest just a couple years ago and she will be one I never forget. She built me up , tore me down and made me the horse owner I am today. I will always have a place in my heart for this mare.

She’s my logo not because she was my first , not because we accomplished all my wild dreams but because she was so herself and absolutely CRAZY.

A reminder to have the confidence to carry MARE ENERGY! BITE AND BUCK IF YOU NEED TO WHILE ASLO LOOKING ✨INCREDIBLE✨
