Today, we laid my dad to rest.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has reached out with your prayers, messages, calls, and kindness. The love shown to my family has meant more than I could ever put into words.

If you’ve sent me a message and I haven’t responded yet, please know I’m not ignoring you. We have a house full of family and friends, and I’m trying to be present with them while navigating one of the hardest days of my life.

Please give me a day or two to catch up on messages. I look forward to responding when I’m able.

We decided to cater Dad’s funeral service luncheon ourselves since we didn’t have enough going on, right?

Plus all the left over meat from the weekend…might as well utilize it, right?

Due to overwhelming demand, we’re now issuing Official Internet Investigator Badges. 🕵️🍋

Qualifications include:
✔️ Reading every comment.
✔️ Zooming in on every photo.
✔️ Forming at least 17 theories.
✔️ Supporting small businesses… preferably with lemonade. 😉

I’m calling it a night.

As entertaining as some of these theories have been, I also have something far more important to focus on. My dad passed away, and tomorrow I need to continue planning his funeral. I simply can’t spend my entire day responding to the same questions and comments over and over.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported us, laughed with us, and shown kindness during one of the hardest weeks of my life. It truly means more than you know.

It is with the heaviest heart that I share that my dad has passed away on Tuesday July 21st.

If you’ve ever rented from us, attended an event we catered, stopped by one of our festival booths, or simply supported our family business over the years, there’s a very good chance you met him. He was the OG bounce house delivery crew, the stadium charcuterie builder, our previous grill master, and the man who was always behind the scenes doing whatever needed to be done with a smile.

But to me, he wasn’t just a part of this business. He was my best friend.

My heart is completely shattered, and I’m having an impossible time coping with this loss. As I now face the heartbreaking task of planning my dad’s funeral while trying to keep our family business moving forward, I ask for a little grace and patience with my response times. I promise I will get back to your messages, calls, and inquiries as soon as I can, but it may take me a little longer than usual.

Thank you for your understanding, your kindness, your prayers, and for supporting not just our business, but our family. Every kind word and every bit of patience means more than I can ever express.

Please hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. ❤️

We are heartbroken to share that we have been asked to leave Sterling Fest.

The reason given is that we are not operating our full food menu. We made the decision to offer only our fresh-squeezed lemonade, Italian ice, and frozen chocolate-dipped bananas because our booth is located directly in front of one of the busiest pedestrian walkways. With constant foot traffic, we felt it was the safest choice not to operate hot grills in that location.

Ironically, there is already another burger food truck directly across from us and hot dog vendors on either side.

Safety has always been our top priority, and we stand by that decision.

We’re incredibly disappointed, especially after all the time, preparation, and expense that went into this event. To everyone who stopped by, supported us, or planned to visit us this weekend, we’re truly sorry.

Thank you for always supporting our small family business. It means more than you’ll ever know, and we hope to see you at another event very soon.

To our amazing clients,

I never imagined having to make a post like this, but I wanted to let everyone know that if my responses are slower than usual over the next few days, this is why.

My dad is in the final hours/days of his life, and our family is honored to be caring for him at home as he prepares to peacefully pass.

Right now, my focus is being by his side, but I want you to know that I have not forgotten about any of you. Every message, quote request, booking, and question will be answered. It just may take me a little longer than usual.

Your patience, understanding, and kindness during this incredibly difficult time mean more than I can put into words. We are heartbroken, and simply trying to make every remaining moment count.
