This poor guy flew into our window yesterday. It hit hard and was stunned. I didn’t think it was going to make it. It just sat in the snow without moving for an hour. It finally flew off, so hopefully it makes it.

We usually prefer shallow gravel bars for sockeye but on this day the fish were running up on a seam that required fishing a little deeper. It made for some interesting netting but we got it done.

This is one design flaw that I can’t stand. I believe waders should come with at least 4 belt loops. That way you don’t have to about worry pliers etc slipping around or falling off.

It won’t be long and it will be time to start icefishing. This video shows our basic setup for most of our guided trips. We set the tent up, drill the holes 🕳️, get the heater fired up before the clients even show up. On nicer weather days we like to fish outside too.
