🍁 As I lay around and heal from surgery I ponder.

I ponder how this all came to be.
I ponder those I love.
I ponder those who inspire me.

Meet my grandma Donna. She just had her 93rd birthday. This was taken a few weeks ago while she was driving us to the dump site to get rid of an old busted generator up in the backwoods of the UP.

She lives mostly off grid at the family cabin during the warm parts of the year. And then they DRIVE to Florida every year. And she cruises around the busy highways of central Florida with her pickup.

Grandma is a hard worker. She’s hilarious. She’s brilliant. She’s witty. She’s inciteful. She’s divine.

She hosts a weekly outdoor Sunday “sermon” on the dock of our local creek for the family. She writes a wholehearted and inspiring chronicle each week, looping in our shared family stories and issues we are dealing with. I am so grateful for these experiences.

Grandma and Grandpa were also my first customers..

When they would visit when I was about 5 years old. I would attempt to make grandpa soup, every time. My mom would help chop carrots and celery, mix bullion cubes into water, and mix it together for grandpa. I remember he would even pretend to like it 🥹

I’d like to think my cooking has gotten a lot better. But I don’t forget for a second where I got my start. I got my start from the people who helped raise me. Who helped instill confidence and trust in me. The people who love and support me.

That’s who we are doing this for.

I am going to get them up on the website eventually, we will also have them available at upcoming markets.

🧑‍🌾 The Artisan Share is back!

A few years ago, a couple friends and I teamed up with Lonely Oak Farm to create a unique, community-supported artisan share box initiative.

I am bringing back the project here in Central Wisco this fall season, partnering with Hannah’s Hearth & Wild Harvest to make it happen!

When you sign up, you are not just getting incredible local goods. You are directly supporting multiple working families and a wide web of local and small bakers, roasters, picklers, and other speciality food makers across Wisconsin.

Here are the details:

The Box: 6 weeks of curated, themed artisan boxes packed with a variety of regional food finds, small-batch goods, local fresh produce, and exclusive beta-test sauces from Stevens Point Sauce Co. that no one else has tried yet! (6 boxes total)

When: Weekly for 6 weeks, starting the first week in October

Delivery: Delivered directly to your doorstep every Monday or Tuesday. Delivery option is for the Stevens Point, Iola, Scandanavia, Mosinee and Clintonville areas. (If you are outside this area and want to participate, please reach out to discuss a Stevens Point pickup option or an extra delivery fee.)

A weekly email newsletter detailing what is in your box, where it came from, and how to use it.

Price & Availability: $350 per share (upfront payment required). Limited to just 15 spots!

🗺️ 🚍 I’m going to be hitting the road twice this fall to vend at new farmers markets, visit new stores, give away samples, and try to sell some of our small batch sauces!

Right now we are wide open to suggestions on where to go, I’d love to build more delivery routes in areas around the state. Especially in areas where we don’t already have any retailers!

I would love to hear from all of you fellow Wisconsinites around the state!!
