Disclaimer: This is a long post, but gives some background to the “why” of our “Clean Candles”

You will see in our descriptions that we use “Clean Scents” to fragrance our candles, and you may wonder what exactly does that mean?
We decided when we started this candle business to ONLY use the most QUALITY ingredients and we are fully committed to that decision which is why we choose to use fragrance oils from a “Clean Scent” line from our fragrance oil supplier.
Is this more expensive than purchasing regular fragrance oils from just any supplier? Yes, absolutely.
Is it worth it for the health benefits? 100%, YES!
After we had our first child I began researching the ingredients in the candles I was burning and fragrance oil plug-ins…YIKES! I had no idea!
Most of the candles and wall plug-ins I was using in our home were made with synthetic fragrance oils made with harmful chemicals.
This was a turning point for me and I became much more conscientious of what candles, melts, and diffusers I was using in our home.
I love making our home cozy and comfortable so candles are a big part of that. There are healthier options available and I’m so happy that our company can provide that.
Here is a run down of what “Clean Scent” means in regards to our fragrance oils:
Every single fragrance oil we use is formulated without phthalates and made without ingredients found on California’s Proposition 65 list.
Fragrances with the “Clean Scents” designation go one step further by also avoiding these 5 main hazard groups.
✖ Carcinogens: These are materials known or thought to cause cancer.
✖ Mutagens: Materials that change the DNA of a cell, harming the cell and causing diseases like cancer.
✖ Reproductive toxins: Toxins that adversely affect reproductive organs and increase the risk of birth defects.
✖ Organ toxins: These are toxins that can cause adverse effects or disease within specific bodily organs.
✖ Acute toxins: Toxins that can cause adverse effects from a single exposure. Generally, this would be accidental exposure like spillage or ingestion.
