I teased it a while ago but here it is! I’m rebranding and changing the name from Nanci K Kreations to Audra. That’s it, just Audra. The story behind NKK is so special to me but I think it was always meant to be just me. I’m still in the works of changing over all the business crap, but couldn’t wait any longer to share the new logo. Maybe you’ve seen the shark pillow I painted LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO and finished stitching yesterday. Here’s the story behind it. A “good” friend me into creating it as a part of the prizes for the AWSC Shark Challenge. Just kidding, he is a great friend who just has no clue how works. I happened to have everything on hand to create the canvas and was able to get the thread a few days later. Luckily I am surrounded with wonderful & talented people like who is going to finish the pillow for me quite rapidly.

It more important than ever that we remember what our ancestors did for us. I think many people don’t know or just don’t care and it is imperative that we never forget the atrocities of the past to prevent them from reoccurring.

I shortened the stripes so I’ll have a skinnier pillow…better for a shark, I think. Only five white stripes left. Pretty sure this is the quickest I’ve ever stitched a project of this size, oh hell, any size.

Absolutely DYING to start stitching this amazing piece from . One of my absolute favorite people on the planet, Richard, was stitching this at the retreat in February and I had to have it. It’s going to kill me to have to wait to start this in June at the retreat in LaJolla.
