Well, we got through the DNR Doe tag sale this morning, which started promptly at 10am. Not everyone gets a free tag or 2 free tags with each license they buy, like some zones do. The people that want to harvest a doe, have to spend $12.00 in the Central and Northern Zones to get a chance to get one. It is each and everyone's own personal choice how and where they hunt and whether they want to buy a doe tag or not. The best thing about this day selling these tags and seeing hunters, is taking part in all of the camaraderie between the guys standing in line, talking about harvests from years prior, showing current buck pictures from trailcams and hoping to shoot a big buck during this coming season. The memories. Remember when, years past, we used to be able to register our deer at gas stations, hunting shops and tackle stores and crowds of guys would come over and congratulate you on your buck or doe you got? High fives and "congratulations" were non stop for 10 minutes. Or the guys who shot a big one, would go from bar to bar showing it off.. Made you feel proud to be a hunter in this State. Ahhh, the good ol days of hunting is what we say.. This is exactly what is missing from todays hunting society. The DNR took this away from us hunters, by going the way of selling and registering deer "online".... I sure wish we could go back to a simpler time........ Do you remember those days??

You also, MUST HAVE a Deer License PRIOR to getting in line for the antlerless tags. This Streamlined process, speeds up the line for everyone. CASH PREFERRED for Buying the tags....
