Yesterday we wrapped up our first annual Garden Conference, Cultivate Confidently. It was two FULL days of learning, networking and fun! We are grateful to the attendees who took a chance on the investment of a first time event and joined us. I am pretty confident to say I think everyone walked away with a return on their investment🌳
The class lineup included hands on grafting and cuttings and pruning, DIY Irrigation, prepping your area, designing your garden, an observation bee hive, an entertaining and truly educational session from a lifelong butterfly enthusiast, representatives from Proven Winners ColorChoice Flowering Shrubs and Proven Winners showing us all the new introductions to their lineup, RE-TREE demonstrated an Air Spade technique and talked about plant/root health, and lastly, the drone lifted off to show us a thing or two about cover crops.
For two full days we learned, mingled with the “plant geeks”, ate amazing meals prepared from the freshness of the season, and walked away feeling much more confident at every level of gardening. Thank you to all the fantastic speakers and helpers from American Conifer Society - your expertise and knowledge on hostas, conifers and planting for winter interest was a great addition to this year’s lineup.
A few honorable mentions helped satisfy our sweet tooth, so thank you to Lil bits Baked Goods for cake pops and Crouch Manor Confectionary for the most authentic cheesecakes EVER!
