CO2 fractional. CO2 is the Gold Standard in laser skin rejuvenation. CO2 fractional is a powerful laser that sends energy into the skin in 1/10 millimeter channels, ablating a thin column of tissue, with untreated skin between. This makes the treatment safer, more tolerable, and less risky. Energy and spacing may be modified for light to aggressive treatments. A cool peel is a very light CO2 fractional laser treatment. I like to go a bit above cool peel settings for nice results with still minimal downtime. More aggressive treatments are needed for significantly smoothing of deeper wrinkles or acne scarring. 5-7 days downtime max. Consultation required.

Before and After, left to right, vascular lesions on cheeks. This was after one vascular laser treatment. ⚡️So satisfying to do!!! I wanted to keep going but he was happy after one treatment. 😄

Had a great day with and .skinceuticals at . 😄 Nothing beats their science based approach to skincare. Products they carry average 7-10 years for development and are studied by independent researchers before launch for efficacy. My faves? CE Ferulic of course, and Metacel B3. Little Pearl: Discoloration Defense reduced melasma 60% after one month of two times a day use.

This was a slide shown on a screen at a medical conference showing the result that one woman had from using Retin A cream for 18 months. I love this post because it looks like she had a deep laser resurfacing or other invasive treatment, but she just used a cream. So…when I say your skincare matters, please follow my advice, it really does! You have to go with the science and research because the changes are slow and it’s so hard to say over a two month time frame what your results are. Follow the science and have faith! Keep going. Some lovely Mystic ladies heard me present “To Zap or not to Zap - Skin Lasers 101 and Beyond” tonight. They meet once a month at 5:30 for a little w**e and cheese, listen to a speaker at 6:00 for 20 minutes, have a little question and answer time, then go home! It is brilliant. I tried to explain what a laser is, how they actually work, a little history of lasers, and how they work in the skin. To me it is fascinating and if you want to geek out and see it sometime LMK 😂.

Selfies from the chair. Can this girl get any more beautiful? I mean really...no she cannot. A little Versa lips is nice to enhance nature shape and definition and add a little volume. A little more volume in lips is almost always pretty. I know this young woman has a very bright future and in a few years will be taking the world by storm! Watch out!

Layering topicals is AOK...believe me I layer up all the time...but do you know what order? The top three most effective anti-aging topicals are Human Growth Factor ( ), Antioxidants ( , , , ), and Retinols or AHAs/BHAs aka cell regulators ( , , ). Growth factor always goes FIRST...SPF always goes LAST. Special can be more moisturizer, niacinamide, peptides, or any other extras you like. The top layer of course is SPF! This doesn’t mean you do all 5 layers necessarily, it’s just the order to use them. Confused yet? An example regimen is CE Ferulic serum then SPF tinted moisturizer in AM, Factor V Serum human growth factor, Retinol, then Triple Lipid at night.
