Today’s tip: Loose tremolo arm?

Here is a simple solution—and the most efficient one I’ve found in over 20 years of playing guitar.

I can’t stand a loose tremolo arm, so solving this problem became a tireless quest for me over the years. I’ve been using this trick for more than 15 years, and to this day, I haven’t found a substitute that is simpler, faster, or virtually free.

I always tell my friends and clients: don’t be afraid to adjust your instrument’s truss rod—it’s simpler than you might think. Your only concern should be using the right Allen key so you don’t damage the nut.
Go ahead and give it a try yourself; start with small, 1/8-turn adjustments.
