Theodore Roosevelt has always been one of the biggest inspirations behind what Ridley represents.
Not because he was perfect. Not because of a title he held. But because of the way he believed life should be lived.
Roosevelt preached what he called “The Strenuous Life” — a life of effort, action, hardship, adventure and purpose. He believed there was value in doing difficult things. In testing yourself. In refusing to spend your life sitting on the sidelines.
He lived it, too.
He was a rancher, outdoorsman, hunter, soldier, conservationist and President. He pushed himself physically, sought out adventure, fought for the preservation of wild places, and became one of the strongest voices for the idea that character is built through action.
And more than a century later, his words still hit.
“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena.”
That idea is at the heart of Ridley.
Ridley was never supposed to be clothing for people who just want to look the part. It’s for the people actually doing something with their lives.
