An Update From Sandbox Game Lounge
It has been a month since our last update, and we know many of you have been wondering when Sandbox will reopen.
Unfortunately, we still don't have a date we can confidently give you.
This relocation was not something we planned or chose, and the process of reopening has involved considerably more than simply moving our equipment into a new space. We have been working through city permitting, architectural and electrical alterations, mall approvals, and now additional requirements surrounding our exterior signage, including another architectural drawing and an additional approval meeting that we were not previously informed would be required.
A great deal of this process has simply been outside of our control.
For more than a month, we've been unable to operate the business we spent the last 3½ years building. We've lost business, had to cancel and refund parties, and have been unable to serve customers who have continued reaching out asking when we'll be back.
As a small business, that's incredibly frustrating. Every additional week we're closed matters.
We are continuing to do everything required of us to move the process forward. Our new location is considerably larger and gives Sandbox more room for gaming, parties, events and everything else we do. Right now, our priority is simple: get approved, get operational, and get our doors open again.
We don't want to announce another reopening date until we know we can keep that promise.
To everyone who has messaged us, asked about us, booked with us, played with us, celebrated birthdays with us, or supported Sandbox over the last 3½ years: thank you.
We built Sandbox for this community, and when we're finally able to open those doors again, we hope you'll be there.
