The Stroud Lady Tigers Softball continued to build momentum last week, winning three of four games and moving above .500 with a 13-11 season record.
Stroud opened the stretch with a 9-3 win over Hominy, collecting 14 hits. Georgia Hulsey had a huge day, going 4-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, while Rylie Hughey went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Carlee Williams pitched all seven innings, allowing no earned runs.
At the Stroud Festival, the Lady Tigers battled back from a 4-0 deficit against Okemah before narrowly falling 5-4. They quickly responded with a dominant 12-1 win over Henryetta, with Miyah Clark driving in three runs, Hughey and Hulsey adding two RBIs each, and Hulsey allowing just one hit in the circle.
Stroud finished the week with a hard-fought 5-4 victory over Preston. Hughey drove in two with a double, while Clark finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs, including the go-ahead RBI double in the fifth. Hulsey went the distance and shut Preston out over the final three innings to secure the win.
Contributions are coming throughout the lineup, with Carly Miller, Sally Campbell, Serenity Godwin, Kailee Juarez and Sammy Cooper also delivering key hits and RBIs during the stretch.
With postseason play getting closer, the Lady Tigers are stacking wins, battling through close games and continuing to show progress.
