I especially like to make unusual pieces from root and trunk sections. Red cedar and walnut are favorites.

This vase is from an aspen tree we took out of the back yard last year. It has some pretty nice grain in it.

I've been busy this summer with a project that I have never taken on before. Our neighbor is the director of the Motorcycle Museum in Sturgis. She asked me to refurbish these two wooden motorcycles. One was a 1909 Harley Davidson and the other was a Chopper built in 1994. This was a new experience for me and a great learning experience plus a lot of fun.
