The word cornicione is the Italian word for the edge or rim of the pizza. The cornicione should be an airy, raised edge, that's crunchy on the outside and light and soft on the inside, typically found on a Neapolitan pizza. In the US, the word crust is often incorrectly used to describe the edge of the pizza.

After eating Ciabatta I thought something sweet was in order. So, I made a new flavor of scones. Apricot pistachio lemon scones had a nice sound to it. I went to Trader Joe’s and purchased some Turkish apricots and raw shelled pistachios. I cut the apricots into quarters and then I roasted the pistachios in the oven and gave them a light salting. I wanted them to be slightly salty so that while you’re eating the sweet scone, you have a little bit of salt here and there. I also zested one lemon and put it into the dough. They baked beautifully and tasted wonderful, and all the neighbors approve! As always, thanks for reading!
