I got buried in the saturation of flat brim hats this past year.
KMK has made A LOT of things since I started in 2020, and when I first started making hats, I LOVED creating them. But somewhere in the past year, I got so burnt out on people stealing ideas, making 100 of the same thing, trying to compete with lasers, and just the insane amount of saturation in the hat world.
And honestly, I’m ready for a change.
This fall I really want to focus on funky, unique cowboy hats, burned shoes, and bringing back the part of KMK that I actually love — creating things that are DIFFERENT.
Small weekly drops. One-of-a-kind items. Unique things you aren’t going to find at every boutique down the road.
Will that mean more live sales? Yes.
Mostly ready-to-ship? Yep.
A ton of Etsy preorders? Probably not.
I want to enjoy KMK again instead of dreading making the same things over and over. I want to be creative again. I want to be excited to show you guys all of these ideas I have instead of feeling like I’m just trying to tread water.
KMK is probably going to look a lot different.
But for my absolute sanity, I cannot WAIT for this change of direction. 🤎
