Things are rocking at the BOOK NOOK ON MAIN!

I wanted to take the time for two very important matters:

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS AND VISITORS, local and out of town! We appreciate you and enjoy getting to know you! And PERCY the Shop Dog loves all the attention you shower him with when you come in the shop🥰

Second: I’d like you to meet our fabulous staff— without whom I’d be ragged and completely lost! They make running the shop fun and easy.
Meet Michele who is also a para at Barbara Bush Elementary this year. She is also my techno-guru (since I’m basically techno-inept!)

And this is Nicole who just retired from teaching Kindergarten in Commerce. We welcome her with open arms. ask her about her chickens😀

And of course if you have been in the shop you already know Percy! He is the official greeter and tummy rub taker at the shop. Don’t be surprised if he barks at you— it just means. “ I need a tummy rub and you look like a likely candidate to supply one!” He’s a sweetie and loves everyone.

And there’s me, Sharon. We are all here to help you find the perfect book and/or reading essentials. Or just to greet you if you need a quiet, relaxing place for some down time.

Each month our staff chooses our reading picks. I’ll highlight them in our Facebook posts but you can also find the actual books on the white rounders. We choose a variety of genres that we’ve read and think you’ll like— so try them out!

We are excited to announce that the Book Nook on Main now offers two ways for you to order books online AND still support our small business! It is as simple as setting up an account with Bookshop.org (for "real" books or eBooks) and/or with Libro.fm (for audiobooks) - tag our shop to your account - and each time you make a purchase our little shop will receive a % of the sale. (links are below and in our profile)

We are always excited to see you in our store - but this is another way you can support us and have access to even more books and formats that our little shop can stock in house.

Life happens while you are trying to run a business!

But we are BACK and OPEN!

Thank you for your patience and understanding ❤️

And while I was ‘taking care of home business’ FedEx was going wild— no less than 50 packages of books and book items delivered to my front door— which is GREAT NEWS!

Lot if goodies for the kids, and a TON of Nonfiction/ history books. I took stock of what I DIDNT have in the store and found my shop woefully lacking in this area 😬

Not to worry! Look at the goodies I ordered (American Revolution, Civil War, Texas History, Texas Rangers, etc!!)

Come see us and check out the new history/nonfiction collection on the rounder and under the tree. After all, it IS our 250th anniversary and we should celebrate by knowing how we got here😍

And mark your calendar for THIS SATURDAY at 10 for our precious Kate Davis and STORYTIME WITH KATE !
We’ll be blasting off into outer space this week. Join us🚀🛸

Hoping everyone has a great weekend planned!

So many wonderful things to do and places to eat before the routine of school days, homework and afterschool activities begin.

Quick question: would anyone be interested in a BOOK BINGO NIGHT here at the Book Nook?
$5 fee, refreshments provided and books are the prizes! One hour max and limit of 8 people per evening
