With a grateful heart, I want to share that The Discount Duck has officially been sold.

To be honest, this all happened much faster than I ever expected. While it is bittersweet to close this chapter, I am incredibly excited for the new owners and the opportunities God has placed before them. Their identity will be announced in due time, but for now, The Discount Duck is officially closed under our ownership.

I truly don’t have the words to express how thankful Steph and I are for each and every person who walked through our doors. Whether you stopped in once or supported us from the very beginning, you became part of our journey. You were never just customers to us—you were friends, neighbors, and a blessing.

Owning The Discount Duck has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives. There were amazing days, challenging days, and even a few emotional, hair-pulling moments along the way, but every bit of it was worth it because of the people we had the privilege to serve.

We give all glory and honor to God for allowing us this opportunity. He opened doors we never imagined and blessed us with a community that loved and supported us beyond measure. We are humbled and grateful that God allowed us not only to build something special, but also to pass that blessing on to another family.

Thank you for every purchase, every kind word, every prayer, every share, every smile, and every bit of support you’ve shown us throughout the years. The memories we’ve made together will stay in our hearts forever.

As one chapter closes, another begins. We trust God’s plan and look forward to seeing what He has in store for the future of The Discount Duck and for all of us.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We love each and every one of you, and we pray God’s blessings over you and your families.

It is with a very heavy heart that I share some news with all of you.

Recently, an unexpected job opportunity fell into my lap—one that I feel led to pursue. After many sleepless nights, prayers, and a lot of soul-searching, I’ve been faced with one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Because I do not have anyone available to help run the store while I’m away getting supplies and handling business needs, I have decided that The Discount Duck will either be sold or, if a buyer cannot be found, its doors will eventually close.

At this time, I do not have an official closing date, and I will continue to keep everyone updated as decisions are made.

What makes this so difficult is that The Discount Duck has never just been a business to me. Over the year, I’ve met so many incredible people. Many of you started as customers and became friends, and some have become family. The support, encouragement, loyalty, and love you have shown me throughout this journey have meant more than words can express.

My sincere hope is that someone will see the value and potential in this store and choose to continue what we’ve built together. If the right buyer comes along, I will gladly provide all the details, guidance, and support needed to help them carry The Discount Duck forward.

While this chapter may be coming to an end for me, I am trusting God to guide my steps and lead me in the right direction. I would greatly appreciate your prayers during this time of transition and uncertainty.

Thank you for believing in me, supporting my small business, and helping make The Discount Duck what it is today. No matter what happens next, I will always be grateful for each and every one of you.
