As a constituent to demand that you vote NO on the Fiscal Year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) unless the U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative (Senate Section 1217 / House Section 219) is entirely stripped from the bill. This provision is a blatant compromise of American national sovereignty, forcing an unprecedented, permanent integration of our most sensitive military tech and supply chains with a foreign nation.It is completely unacceptable to mandate the automatic sharing, co-production, and pipelines of American-developed intelligence, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and cybersecurity frameworks with a state that has historically and systematically stolen, extracted, and compromised massive volumes of U.S. classified intelligence for its own use.Furthermore, this one-way arrangement highlights a glaring double standard in our defense relationship. Despite the billions of American taxpayer dollars poured into funding the development of the Iron Dome, the Israeli government has repeatedly and explicitly blocked the United States military from fully utilizing and integrating the system. When our own military needed the underlying technology, Israel flatly refused to provide the core software source code to the U.S. Army. Their justification was that the technology is strictly "proprietary intellectual property" belonging only to Israel—forcing our military to scrap a $1 billion project because we were denied access to code we helped finance.If Israel fiercely guards its proprietary software from the United States under the banner of national security, it is insulting and dangerous for Congress to legally mandate that the Pentagon hand over America's cutting-edge intellectual property to them.Our military assets and technological advantages belong strictly to the American people and must remain under sovereign U.S. control.
