Incubator has been fired up and stabilized. I put in 5 eggs about a week & a half ago to make sure it was ready and than put in a small hatch about a week ago. I am happy to report 99% fertility. Out of the first 5 eggs three are viable and should hatch in approx a week and a half. They will be croad langshan. Approx half a week later all the others should start hatching and those will be a combination of backyarders, ayam cemani, speckled sussex, swedish flower, langshan and polish.

Fluff ball cuteness overload!!!
With a few exceptions these guys hatched in the last 2 days and will be available for new homes in 2 to 3 more days. I have Easter eggers, cochins, silkies and Swedish Flowers. When possible I always leave 5 to 7 day old babies in with new hatches. I have found that doing so the new babies learn to eat and drink faster and with no assistance from me.

These guys went into lockdown yesterday and should start hatching tomorrow sometime. 1st cage to the has Swedish Flower babies, than there are 3 individual cages- these are either Easter Eggers or olive eggers. The 3rd cage are known olive eggers and the last cage are known Easter Eggers.

Besides blue eggs the great thing about these guys is they autosex at hatch :) SOMETIMES the boys like to disguise themselves though by having a chipmunk stripe with just the tiniest yellow spot hidden in the middle of said stripe. Estimated hatch date is 15 Apr. I do have a waiting list for these guys so if you want some let me know as soon as possible.

Hatching started yesterday evening. Quick pic taken this morning as I pulled the 1st ones out. So far there are 2 houdan (1 already spoken for), 2 cross breeds, 1 black americauna and 3 lavender americauna. The little blurry one is a houdan that as I opened the door.
