Proceeds from the sale of donated items are used to fund other local nonprofits that help those most in need in our community. Second Chance Thrift Shop was opened in 1988 with a mission to support local non-profits that assist those most in need in our community. For 2021, Community Support Award recipients include HELP of Summerville, Meals on Wheels, DCCO (Home of Hope and Hope’s House homeless shelters), Katie’s Krops, Doors to Freedom, and Carolina Youth Development Center.

Second Chance is looking for Volunteer Merchandisers to join the crew on Saturdays. This is a fun, active volunteer position perfect for anyone who loves:
✨ Stocking the racks with fresh inventory
✨ Styling mannequins with fun outfits
✨ Making sure the shop floor is packed full of all the best goodies!

Just a few hours of your time on a Saturday makes a massive impact and helps us fund grants for amazing local Summerville charities.
