It’s a BIG week for Empyrean fans! 🐉

Next Tuesday, September 29th, Threshing Day, the prequel to the Empyrean series, officially hits the shelves!

We’ll be opening the store from 2–6 PM on release day for anyone wanting to swing by and pick up a copy.

Our stock is limited, so if you want to make sure Threshing Day has your name on it, we highly recommend reserving your copy ahead of time!

It’s been a while since we’ve highlighted a staff pick, and since we’re getting into spooky season, here’s one I definitely recommend! 👻📚

The Possession of Alba Díaz by Isabel Cañas is rich in Mexican history with just the right sprinkle of spooky! After reading The Hacienda by the same author with Blind Date Book Club, I knew I couldn’t skip out on another one of her stories.

Set in 1765, Alba and her family flee a plague sweeping through Zacatecas and seek refuge at her fiancé’s family’s isolated silver mine. But their escape is far from peaceful. Alba soon begins experiencing strange hallucinations, sleepwalking, and the unsettling feeling that something just isn’t right.

With a fascinating historical setting, family secrets, a touch of romance, and plenty of eerie moments, this was such a fun read heading into spooky season!

Another Crochet Club in the books! 🧶

We had a smaller crew this month, but still had such a good time hanging out, working on projects, and learning from each other!

We also want to give a special shoutout to Lainey with The Brand Elise, who has hosted our past Crochet Clubs and helped us get these gatherings going! She’s off to college now, and we’re so thankful for all the time she spent crocheting with us. 💗

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night! We’ll be back at it again next month, so keep an eye out for our October date.
