Used to skate Ralph’s parking lot all the time! No security guards at the time so we could skate all night!! There was perfect planter ledge in front of Thrifty’s as well. One of our original skate spots that was like a skatepark to us.

As far as the bank over the rail I never seen anyone get over it and didn’t know if it was possible. One night decided to try and huck over it after pushing what felt like a 1/4 mile. Surprisingly intimidating when you were crouched down at the bottom of a 8’ mellow bank with a pretty tall rail on top of it.

Can’t be for sure that I was the first to get over it. However I never saw anyone attempt it before I did. So it felt like I unlocked the spot. Once we knew it was possible it was definitely a staple in town!!

You would commonly hear “what did he get over the Ralph’s rail?” Not much documentation back then at all. I only got 3 over this beast!! Ollie, Back 1, and a pretty sloppy KF.

If you ever had the chance to jump over this rail. I guarantee you can still feel that weightless floating feeling when you re-skate it in your mind!!

One of a kind spot for sure!! These pics were from 99.
I’m pretty sure I got over it for the first time around 96-97. Town is rich in skate history for sure!!
