Clarice and Goldie Hawn at the Golden Evening of Hope at Angus Barn Pavilion.
Goldie Hawn was the guest speaker who has also devoted many years to mental-health advocacy—particularly helping children manage anxiety, stress and emotional difficulties.
Money raised supports innovative mental-illness research through the Foundation of Hope. Every dollar collected during the paddle raise goes directly to CHAAMP—the Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program, which supports research and better treatment for children, teenagers and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression and related conditions.
The Foundation of Hope was created more than 40 years ago by Thad and Alice Eure after their son was diagnosed with a serious mental illness. During one of the most difficult chapters of their lives, they chose hope—and turned that hope into action. Today, the Foundation continues to fund groundbreaking research and bring brighter futures to people and families affected by mental illness.

There’s just something special about a girls’ day, and we’re so glad Island Breeze got to be part of theirs! These lovely ladies left with full bags, big smiles, and hopefully a few new favorites.
