Featured: Yesterday's 3lb, yes three pound, birthday party dip loaf. Later in the day it was hollowed out, and filled up with two separate dips. It did not last long! Yum!

So for small business Saturday I thought I'd tell you a bit about myself and who you're supporting when you make a purchase from RISENbreads:

My name is Shaun McGehan, I am a single father and small business owner. I have recently turned my skill for baking, that I further honed during the lockdown of the last eight months, into a cottage goods store offering bread, pizza dough, cookies, and more; as my regular business has been shuttered since march due to Covid-19.

I love baking and all things sourdough. I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to share my goods with others, and I could one day see myself owning a brick and mortar bakery somewhere here in Boulder County.

Today's bake of a traditional white loaf of sourdough. I cut right into one for lunch, so good. I've been getting so focused on other flavors and styles lately it was nice to get back to the classic, which has always been my favorite for a reason. A nice soft fluffy crumb with good flavor and a nice crisp crust. Yum!
