For those that follow my personal page this is going to be a repeat post. I am closing the shop for an unknown amount of time . Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of my little business so far. ❤️
This is one of my last bump pictures. It's a time I should be nesting, preparing and reflecting on our little family growing. Instead we are faced with a tall mountain to climb. At 31 weeks pregnant I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer.
After several doctors appointments, more imaging and a second opinion we are bringing Baby Nolan into this world a lot sooner than we hoped. He will be here at 36 weeks via c-section (March 6th) so that I can have my breast surgery a few weeks later. Treatment after surgery is still unknown.
God is with us, He is our refuge. Prayers for everyone are welcomed as we navigate a cancer diagnosis, bringing a baby into the world early and still loving and nurturing our sweet Nora. There are so many unknowns that we still have to face. We also know we have to take it one thing at a time, which is MUCH easier said than done for this mama.
I am attaching our Caring Bridge platform link so that everyone can stay informed easily with more detailed updates from Keith and I as we go, photos, and links to help if you're interested. You are still welcome to text or call but please know we may not respond right away.
I post this to share with those we haven't had a chance to talk to yet, to connect with anyone who's been through something similar (please feel free to message me) and to bring awareness to breast cancer and the importance of self exams. I am the one who noticed the lump and several other factors that just felt "off" to me prompting a conversation with my OBGYN. I will share more on those details in our Caring Bridge journal soon.
Thank you to our families, friends and church family for the outpouring of love, prayers and support so far. The incredible things God has done in our short time living here to prepare us for this have left us in awe. He knew what was coming, He prepared a way for us to get through each phase of this diagnosis. We cannot even begin to thank you all enough. 🩷
