🎻🪕 FOLKtober on the Grand Strand 🪕🎻

Here are 12 of our favorite picks for American roots music around the Grand Strand this October.

We’ve got old-time and bluegrass, Grateful Dead songs, Irish music, drum circles, ukuleles, free concerts, festivals and enough mandolins to make even the banjo players uncomfortable.

Some are Long Bay Folk Society events. Some are friends of Long Bay. Some are people we don’t know yet—but still want to support and endorse. All of them are worth stopping the doom scrolling, getting off the couch and checking out live music.

Our October newsletter is out now with more event details, Long Bay news and other assorted musical nonsense. If you’d like to join the email list, send us your email address or message the Long Bay Folk Society page.

Save the calendar, share it with your music nerd friends and tell us in the comments—which events will we see you at?

Know about another local roots-music event we missed? Drop it below so we can help spread the word.
