Am I the only one who still gives the .224 Valkyrie some love?

Everybody talks about .223, .22 ARC, 6 ARC, 6.5 Grendel and 6.5 Creedmoor, but the Valkyrie hardly seems to come up anymore.

24-inch stainless barrel, Dead Air Nomad LTi XC, and an Athlon thermal up top. Long, sleek, and built for nights when the coyotes get a little too comfortable. 🔥

I still think the Valkyrie deserves a spot in the conversation. New cartridges coming along didn’t suddenly make it a bad round, and it’s still one I like.

But I’m curious—if you gave up on the Valkyrie, what made you move on? And if you’re still running one, what’s kept you shooting it?

Quick update — due to an unexpected medical situation involving a family member and some unexpected circumstances that came with it, we’ve decided to hold off on the gun shows we had planned for the rest of this year.

We’ll most likely pick them back up next year and come into it better prepared instead of trying to force everything right now.

We still have plenty planned for McGuire Tactical and appreciate everyone who continues to support us.

Old school meets new school.

There’s just something about a lever gun that never gets old. This customer wanted to give his a more modern look, so we got the kit ordered and he handled the install himself.

Same classic lever-action feel, just with a whole different attitude.

Turned out clean, and it’s always cool getting to help somebody take an idea they have for their gun and make it happen.

What do y’all think — keep a lever gun old school, or build it out like this?

Buying a firearm through our website just got a whole lot easier!

Before, you had to manually find and enter the receiving FFL dealer’s name, address, and other information during checkout. It was a pain in the ass, plain and simple.

Now, all you have to do is enter your ZIP code, choose the FFL dealer you want your firearm shipped to, and finish checking out. No more digging around for all that information and typing everything in by hand.

Quick heads up I had some customer gun orders that were supposed to come in yesterday, but I’m out of town dealing with a family emergency.

I’ll most likely be back at the shop Monday and get everything checked in and everybody taken care of then.

Appreciate y’all being patient with me. Sometimes life happens and you just gotta handle what’s in front of you.
