A SAD little business update from Prickly Pear Designs ✨🩷
As we head into a new school year, I’ll officially be going back to LIMITED AVAILABILITY.
Between my kiddo starting school, working full-time OUT of town Monday–Friday, taking my own classes, running this business, and not always having reliable help, I’ve had to be honest with myself about how much I can realistically take on.
Truthfully, I already have to turn down more events than I’d like to, and moving forward, I know that number will unfortunately be even higher. 🥺 I hate saying no, especially when so many of you continue to choose me for your special days. However, there are only so many hours in a day, and I simply can’t be everywhere at once.
I’m also trying to be more intentional about making room for my faith, my family, and the things that matter beyond being busy. I never want to become so consumed with work, school, and business that I’m giving God and my daughter whatever is left of me at the end of the week.
I absolutely LOVE this business and what I get to create for you all, but I’m a mama first, and my faith and family have to remain priorities. I want every event I do accept to receive the time, creativity, and quality it deserves without constantly stretching myself too thin.
So please, BOOK EARLY! 🎈 My calendar will have fewer available dates, and once I’ve reached my limit for a weekend, I won’t be able to squeeze in additional setups like I sometimes have in the past.
I promise I’m not going anywhere. I’m simply learning that sometimes growing a business also means knowing when to say, “I don’t have the capacity” even when I really want to say yes.
I’m incredibly grateful that God has blessed this little business beyond what I ever imagined, and I’m just as grateful for every single one of you who continues to support it. Here’s to learning how to steward those blessings well in this next season. 🤍
