https://blumengardens.com What began as a humble horticultural endeavor in Joan & Joel Barczak’s backyard has grown into an award-winning landscape design business. It now inhabits over 4,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor space for their retail Gift & Garden Shop and Event Rental Facility, We serve the Sycamore and Dekalb area, but frequently have people travelling to see us from Geneva, St. Charles, Western Suburbs, Chicago, and beyond! The beautiful gardens offer customers a wide selection of annual and perennial flowers not found at big box stores. Within the rustic brick interiors of the old Factory Shop you will find vintage and modern gifts, as well as indoor and outdoor home decor. The Blumen Gardens campus also boasts an on-site Plant Nursery from which it supplies the Landscape Construction and Maintenance Divisions and grows its own plants for the retail garden shop as well.

Next stop: Downtown Sycamore. 🍂

The downtown planters have officially made the seasonal shift, and we love seeing fall color right in the heart of our community.

Mums, ornamental cabbage, grasses, pumpkins + plenty of texture bring a fresh fall look to Downtown Sycamore.

Keep an eye out next time you’re downtown. You might just spot a little Blumen Gardens along the way. 🎃🌿

We LOVE these pumpkin planters. 🎃

All the charm of a pumpkin, but made from ceramic so you can bring them out year after year.

Fill them with mums, fall annuals, grasses, trailing foliage, or your favorite seasonal combination for an instant porch refresh.

Beautiful on the front steps, beside the door, or mixed into a larger fall display with fresh pumpkins + gourds.

One planter. So many falls ahead. 🍂

Come find yours at Blumen Gardens.

A little time in the garden does a lot of good. 🌿

Fresh air. Sunshine. Movement. Creativity. A reason to put the phone down and pay attention to what’s growing right in front of you.

Gardening gets us outside, keeps our hands busy, connects us with the seasons, and gives us the satisfaction of watching something we planted grow.

This weekend is going to be beautiful.

Come wander the gardens, take your time + gather a little inspiration for your own.
