We’re so excited to be part of AANHPI celebrations again this year!

We’ll have a *very limited* number of books available to share with participants during our workshop. If you’re local and have been hoping to get your hands on one of our books, this will be your only opportunity for quite some time to purchase a copy here in the U.S.

These books are from our personal collection, and we hadn’t originally planned to sell them — but we need to make room for our new pepe!

We can’t wait to celebrate with you and hope you’ll join us!

Museum visitors, we're SO excited to welcome friends from Pepe Faitau Books, the First Samoan Board Book Company, to the Children's Museum of Tacoma for a special workshop with families!

Celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month with us at this hands-on family workshop that honors storytelling of self through symbolic, siapo-inspired collage artwork! Children will use visual elements inspired by traditional Polynesian tapa patterns to tell their own story and create a personal “cloth” made up of shapes that they identify with. Activities will be presented by friends from Pepe Faitau Books, including illustrator Dalcetta Palepale!

No pre-registration is required, and admission is Pay As You Will.

You guys nearly sold us out of all our tusi! We only have a handful left that we have saved for gifts. We are so grateful for the last 3 years!

Talofa, PFB aiga. We have some news to share. 🌺

Our family has made the decision to transition from retail to wholesale-only. This means that in the near future we won’t be selling directly through our online shop anymore. Instead, our books will be available through certain online retailers and community shops strategically selected around the world.

This change allows us to care for our family well, and continue creating new Gagana Sāmoa books and resources for our pepe in a sustainable (to us) way. ❤️
