CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park The Talladega Marksmanship Park opened 6 May 2015. We are open to the public, with no membership required.

The CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park features a 600-yard rifle range with targets at 200, 300 and 600 yards, a 100-yard multi-purpose range and a 50-yard pistol range. It also includes 15 action pistol bays and a trap field, 5-stand field and a 15-station sporting clays field, all with automated trap machines.

Archery Shooters Association (ASA) 3-D archery brings the hunt to the range with lifelike, three-dimensional animal targets crafted from foam – challenging archers to test their precision, focus and strategy.

Due to cancellations for the October Advanced Maintenance Classes (AMC), we have a few limited openings!

Held in Anniston, Alabama, we currently have limited openings available for the following dates:

- October 20-22, 2026: 9 spots remaining
- October 23-25, 2026: 6 spots remaining

This is a great opportunity for those looking to deepen their knowledge and to gain hands-on experience! Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't hesitate to get signed up!

Cost breakdown (before sales tax):
Tuition: $1,250.00
Rifle: $1,150.00
Total: $2,400.00

IMPORTANT! The Talladega NASCAR race is taking place Oct. 23-25, so lodging in the area is extremely limited (There appears to be plenty of lodging availability for Oct. 20-22.)

Please note:
Tuition payment is required to secure your seat in the class.
The rifle purchase will not be processed until day one of the class.

Mark your calendars for Sept. 19 when we host our next monthly Mid-Range 3x600!

The event is open to Match, Service, Palma, F-Open, F T/R, F-Practical or AR Tactical Rifles. Fired from 600 yards upon our outdoor line of electronic targets!

If you can't make it, the last monthly Mid-Range event of the year will be held Oct. 24.

We will also be hosting two days of Mid-Range Matches at the 2026 Talladega 600, set for Nov. 11-12. See you there!

This week, we're excited to welcome participants in the September Advanced Maintenance Classes!

During these classes, our armorers lead students in hands-on construction of their own M1 Garand – from choosing each part from our Custom Shop inventory to test firing on our Talladega ranges.

We'll be seeing individual participants Sept. 8-10 and members of our Buddy Class (where you may partner with another individual of your choosing!) Sept. 11-13.

Join us for our next monthly Rimfire Sporter Match, set for Sept. 19!

Perfect for those just beginning as well as those looking for a fun challenge, firing is done at 50 and 25 yards in prone, sitting and standing positions – all on electronic targets!

The match is designed for smallbore rifles weighing 7.5 pounds or less. Three separate sight classes are permitted:

- O-Class (open sights)
- T-Class (telescopes/receiver sights)
- Tactical-Unlimited

Pre-registration is recommended but will also be available at the Clubhouse the day of the event.

Can't make it this month? We still have two more opportunities for the year: Oct. 17 and Nov. 14 (during the Talladega 600).

There will also be a Rimfire Benchrest Match during the Talladega 600 on Nov. 15.
