These are 5 questions you NEED to ask before booking your venue… or you could pay WAY more than expected.
1. “What exactly is included in the rental price?”
Ask whether tables, chairs, linens, setup/cleanup, staffing, and other essentials are included or charged separately.
2. “Are there any additional fees I should know about?”
Ask about service fees, cleaning fees, security deposits, overtime, corkage fees, or other charges that could increase your final bill.
3. “What vendors am I allowed to use?”
Some venues require you to use their preferred caterer, planner, DJ, or rental company, so confirm your vendor options before signing anything.
4. “What is your rain or weather backup plan?”
If you’re planning an outdoor event, make sure you know exactly what happens if the weather ruins your original setup.
5. “How much time do I actually have access to the venue?”
Clarify your setup, event, and breakdown times because a venue may advertise an 8-hour rental but only give you a fraction of that for decorating and cleanup.
