After a lot of long hours, planning, and some pretty extensive modifications to the live bait room, we are officially DONE and ready to go!

Starting tomorrow at 8:00 AM, we’ll begin setting up fingerprints and activating members of the McGinness Pro Angler Club for 24/7 live bait access.

🔐 No keys. No access codes. Your fingerprint is your access.

Once you're activated and have completed the walkthrough, you’ll be able to get live bait 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—whether you're heading out before sunrise, late at night, or whenever the fish decide to bite.

🔥 Pro Angler Club members will also get FIRST DIBS on our live bait inventory when we restock each Tuesday. If something is in high demand or limited supply, members with 24/7 access will have the first opportunity to get it before regular store hours.

We’ve put a lot of work into making the room easy to use while also keeping the bait tanks and fish protected. During your walkthrough, we'll show you exactly how everything works—from accessing the room and properly handling and weighing your bait to paying through the available payment options.

And for everyone who was interested but hasn't signed up yet...

The response to our upcoming 24/7 Live Bait Access has been incredible.

We're still about 2 weeks away from opening, and 23 of the 50 Founding Member spots have already been reserved. That's nearly half the memberships gone before we've even opened the doors.

What makes being a Founding Member so special?

You'll be one of the very first anglers to ever use our 24/7 Live Bait Room and part of the group that helped launch something completely new for Northwest Missouri. Years from now, you'll be able to say, "I was there from the beginning."

As a Founding Member, you'll receive: 🎣 24/7 access to fresh live bait
🖐️ Your own fingerprint access (not a PIN code)
💵 Membership for just $30 per year
👥 Membership is limited to 50 anglers for our inaugural year

Why fingerprint access?

We've had several people ask why we're using fingerprints instead of a keypad code.

The answer is simple—it's to protect the fish and the program.

Every member will complete a quick orientation where we'll show you how to:

Properly catch and handle the bait.
Weigh fish accurately.
Wash your hands before handling bait to help keep the fish healthy.
Complete your purchase using our payment system.
Leave the room ready for the next angler.

This isn't because we don't trust people. It's because we want everyone entering the bait room to know the proper process. Healthy bait means better bait for everyone.

Using fingerprints also means access can't simply be shared with someone who hasn't been through the orientation. Every person with access will have been trained on the proper procedures.

You're welcome to bring family members or fishing buddies into the bait room with you, but the member who uses their fingerprint to enter is fully responsible for everyone they bring inside. Any damage, unpaid merchandise, or failure to follow the rules by anyone in your group will be the responsibility of the member whose fingerprint was used to gain access.

If your buddy doesn't want a membership, that's perfectly fine. One member can buy all the bait and split the bill afterward however you want. We just want to make sure everyone entering the room has been shown the proper way to handle the bait and use the system.

With 23 memberships already claimed, that leaves only 27 Founding Member spots remaining.
