Managed by the Downtown Taunton Foundation. Trescott Street Gallery & Gift Shoppe is a vibrant community arts space in the heart of Downtown Taunton, MA. We feature monthly art exhibits, creative workshops, and events that celebrate local visual and performance artists. Our Gift Shoppe showcases unique, handcrafted items by local artisans and makers. Founded in 2011 and managed by the Downtown Taunton Foundation, TSG continues to support the growth of arts and culture in our city. We’re currently welcoming new artist members, local creators, and instructors for upcoming exhibits, classes, and workshops!

Artist Spotlight: Emelia Leavitt

Meet Emelia Leavitt, one of TSG's talented Artist Members and a proud Student Member of our gallery family. A Senior at Taunton High School, Emelia brings both raw talent and heart to everything she creates — her artwork dives into her inner thoughts and feelings, tackling a wide range of subjects that never fail to leave viewers impressed.

Emelia's hometown and school pride shine through in her work, especially in the posters she designs for THS DECA, where she also serves on the student leadership team. Beyond the easel, she's a top student, an emerging entrepreneur, and a champion cookie seller with her Girl Scout Troop — yet she always makes time to nurture her artistic side. Ever the explorer, Emelia isn't afraid to experiment with new mediums (oil paint included, frustrations and all!).

We're so proud to call Emelia one of our own, and we can't wait to see where her talent takes her next.

he City of Taunton’s annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will take place tomorrow, Friday, September 11 at 10 AM.

The ceremony will be held indoors in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. All are welcome to attend.

Beloved Community: Belonging, Connection, and Kinship opens September 9! Co-hosted by TSG and Barry Sanders, Taunton City Council, this Members’ Exhibit explores the people, relationships, and shared experiences that create a sense of belonging and bring communities together.

Looking for something a little different to create? Try your hand at fused glass art at Trescott Street Gallery!

Join artist Jean Kingsbury-Conway and create your own one-of-a-kind fused glass sun catcher or coaster. No experience is necessary, all materials are included, and you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process.
