Pirate Hat Apiary We provide live removal and relocation of honey bee colonies.

Also selling Florida Keys raw honey, honeycomb, infused specialty honey, propolis tincture, soaps, lotions, scrubs, candles and more. Pirate Hat Apiary started out as a backyard beekeeping venture but the fascinating world of bees has lured me into a more active role in preserving the honeybee. Relocation of Swarms into managed hives means fewer "unwelcome" guests making themselves at home in someones home or business leading to removals which can damage property or in worst case scenario extermination of the bees. We also provide removal services where we cut out the hive and transfer them into a managed hive structure and relocate them to one of our bee yards.....or if there is interest I am always open to helping people get into beekeeping themselves :-)

So happy to be a part of the Keys Community. Got a call from the Turtle Hospital down in Marathon looking for 5+ pounds of clean beeswax... we donated and helped Familia with shell repairs!!!! They do such great work. If you haven't been it truly is a wonderful tour and experience!

Still looking for a home for this regal creature. Yes he looks white but is a siamese flame point cross so has color on his ears and tail and isnt deaf.. 12ish weeks old.... already neutered and has first round of shots.... we love him but he makes cat # 4 and we rescued him from certain death.... not to keep :-)

What a week! We wanted to donate some cut comb to Pawsitive Beginnings and we were lucky enough to get to feed some to the foxes. We met Isla, Reef and Coral up close. We are adding the link if anyone would like to know more about this fox rescue located in Key Largo or donate. The biggest swarm i have ever seen....moved in 2 days ago... easily 8 lb of bees in the vacuum they started comb in three different spots and covered a huge area in the ceiling... super nice but sooooo many bees
