So that we can make money off you??? No, actually The Journey Store is a wholly owned not-for-profit ministry of Metro and is here to help you. The Journey Store exists to bring you Christ Centered Resources to help you on your faith journey. And we think it’s really practical to sense God stirring in you during the service and then to walk right out and buy a book or a cd that might help you even

further. The Journey Store provides a wide variety of Bibles, Books, Music (including worship music) and Metro Wear Gear. All of our merch is discounted at least 20% off the retail price PLUS ALL SALES TAXES are included in the price. We know how expensive life can be and we want to make getting resources to help you on your journey as affordable as possible. The Journey Store also stocks a great selection of the coolest church threads around. Seriously…the shirts, bags and kid’s clothing is sweet but are also designed to help serve as FAITH DISCUSSION STARTERS. So check out the Metro Wear Gear! Good morning!!!

a little food for thought today....
God promised Abraham and Sarah a baby right?

and in the bible it was like..."God's promise: God promised Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sands of the sea."

and boom!! -- Isaac was born
NOT!!

They had to wait 25 years - Sarah was 99! yes 99!!

25 years......can you imagine their confusion and questions every month when she was not pregnant????

BUT GOD......Knew what he was doing (of course!!) and knew that Abraham had to not trust in his human understanding but to trust in Gods promise and grow in his faith.
Instead, “he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised” (verses 20b-21)

and God did!!
In our waiting, we can choose to doubt God’s goodness and faithfulness, or we can choose to remind ourselves of God’s promises and His character. God is a promise-keeper, and sometimes (quite often) His timing is not our own. So what can we do while waiting? We can follow the example Abraham set and choose to give glory to God and trust that He will do as He promises. As we do that, may God strengthen our faith as He did Abraham’s.
