We did metal a little today! Made some hangers and brackets, but in my hurry to accomplish approximately 47 things at once, I took exactly zero pictures of them. 😅

We also got the little room in the shop cleaned out and moved the dog training stuff in! Wyatt was apparently there to supervise the whole operation. 😂

Tomorrow’s agenda is some outside cleanup, and then we should be back to our regularly scheduled metal updates. Stay with me, y’all. We take a lot of detours around here because focusing is hard for this one. 👀😂

No metal got done today, but we worked on cleaning out the shop all day, almost until sundown. 😅

I’m sure some of y’all have spotted the mounds of stuff lurking in the background of my pictures. Well, we’re finally making a dent in it!

The 6-yard dumpster was empty this morning, and now it’s bursting at the seams. 😂 Good thing tomorrow is trash day, because apparently the shop has been holding onto every single thing it’s ever met.

And if anyone starts pointing fingers in my direction over the shop hoarding items, I plead the fifth. 🤐👀

This bad boy got primer today, and I’m already itching to see the butterfly and flower in color. 🦋🌸 The little details are really starting to come to life!

We’re also hosting a bitework seminar next weekend, which means we are officially in FULL prep mode. So bear with me if the page gets a little chaotic this week. There will still be metal… but there may also be dogs, field prep, last minute projects, and me wondering why I thought I could fit it all into one week. 😂

See that jar? That sad little handful of tickets is everything we have collected so far, and this diaper drive ends next week. 😭

I know we can do better than this. I want Athletico to be absolutely FLOODED with diapers before this raffle ends—not only because someone gets to win this big, beautiful, handmade sunflower sign, but because 1 in 2 families struggles with diaper need. These donations will go to Legacy Parenting Center to help local babies and families who genuinely need them.

Well, we got some design work done today… and then moved on to hauling two big loads of hay.

Which my husband then proceeded to get my truck stuck with. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Apparently, I was supposed to hear him explaining how he wanted me to park the truck and trailer while he was sitting over 50 feet away on the tractor—and I was standing next to my running diesel truck and trailer with all the other loud s**t going on.

Naturally, I couldn’t hear him. So he comes marching over, jumps in my truck to do it himself… and forgets to pay attention to the aerobic sprinkler head and the giant wet spot around it. 👀

I thought the whole situation was pretty damn funny. Don’t get annoyed with me because I can’t hear your long-distance instructions over all the loud s**t—especially when you’re the one who immediately gets the truck stuck. 😂

We got the hay unloaded, and once all that weight was off the back, the truck came right out in 4-low.

But somehow—despite him being the one who got it stuck—I’m the one who ended up cleaning up the mess. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

Funny how that works around here… 👀

Picked up a little metal this morning before PT! 🤘🏻

The dog and the kid clearly had a great time supervising the trip—and by supervising, I mean turning the back seat into their own personal playground. 😂

I know it doesn’t look like a whole lot of metal, but my bank account says that pile should be MUCH bigger. 😅💸

Facts! I love when people see Jiggy out in public and say, “I’ve been thinking about getting one—he is sooo good!” I know a lot of people on my page love him, too.

But just so y’all know: we’re almost five years in, probably around $40,000 in training alone, and have put in more hours than I could ever count. We train on sick days, tired days, and busy days—and we still work together to this day.

If I go too long without giving that dog something productive to do, he becomes a freaking terrorist. 😂 He wasn’t born knowing how to behave calmly in public. The Jiggy everyone sees is the result of years of work, consistency, money, time, and commitment.

Honestly, 99.999% of the time, when someone asks me about Belgian Malinois or tells me they’re thinking about getting one, I recommend that they don’t.

Know your breeds. Know what you’re truly willing and able to commit to. And don’t get a breed of dog while expecting it to do less than what it was bred to do.

Today’s episode: welding this bad boy together while fighting for my life against camera angles. 😂🔥

Apparently, geometry and I are still not on speaking terms, so sometimes you get a beautiful view of the welding… and sometimes my backside blocks the entire damn operation. 🍑🤷🏻‍♀️

But despite my complete lack of spatial awareness, the flower and hummingbird are officially becoming one glorious piece of metal chaos—and damn, this thing is coming together even cooler than I imagined! 🌺🐦

Professional videographer? Absolutely not.
Professional problem solver with a welder? You bet your ass. 😏
