Your favorite slightly feral Oklahoma metal lady is going on a ROAD TRIP. 🤘🔥

In a couple of months, I’ll be loading up and heading north toward New York, which means I have a few OPEN SPOTS for custom orders that can hitch a ride with me!

And y’all… this is a pretty dang good opportunity if you’ve been wanting something BIG, weird, extra, custom, or just expensive/a pain in the ass to ship. 😂

☀️🦋 OKAY SUNSHINE… THANK YOU FOR FINALLY SHOWING UP. 😂✨

Yesterday we finished this big ol’ butterfly, but the clouds clearly did NOT understand their assignment because all that glitter deserved its moment. So today we drug her back out into the sunshine and Y’ALL. THERE SHE IS. 😍✨

But there’s another little detail I wanted to show off…

The wings have OPTIONS. 👀

💜 One side is all purple for that bold, glittery purple look.

🩵💜 Flip them around and there’s teal worked into the wings to add some extra definition and make those details POP.

So depending on where she ends up, what mood we’re in, what season it is, or simply because we like changing things around… the owner can swap the wings back and forth and completely change up her look. 🙌

Because apparently just making a giant glittery metal butterfly wasn’t extra enough for us. We needed ✨WARDROBE OPTIONS✨ too. 😂

And I am LOVING this idea for future pieces — interchangeable parts, different colors, different looks… SAME metal piece. 👀🔥

Before anyone asks where today’s metal update disappeared to… today’s plans got hijacked by something unexpected first thing this morning.

Out of respect for someone else’s privacy, I’m going to keep the details off social media, but I promise it was a good thing. ❤️ Some things are just bigger than shop updates.

So, Jiggy has been promoted to today’s spokesperson while the plasma table enjoyed an unexpected day off. 😂

Well… she officially graduated from “freshly cut metal” to “trust the process.” 🦋

My phone decided to stage a full-on rebellion today, so I was MIA for half the day while I upgraded and got everything transferred over. 😅

That means I didn’t get all the fun behind-the-scenes content I wanted, but the butterfly still had a productive day!

✔️ Cleaned up
✔️ Prepped
✔️ Primed
✔️ Ready for a white base coat tomorrow

“But it’s already white…” 😂

This is just primer! She’s getting a true white base because I have a color idea bouncing around in my head, and that white underneath is going to make it POP. Sometimes the prep work is what makes the magic happen.

Now let’s see if the idea in my brain cooperates with reality… because those two don’t always get along. 🤣🖤

Stay tuned… this one is about to get colorful.

🖤 New profile picture. Same chaos.

We actually took a little time today to clean up the shop (I know… shocking 😂) and snap a few new pictures for the business page. Hopefully this one gives off our usual Jigsaw Metal Works vibes… a little welding, a little shop chaos, and a whole lot of dog.

Jiggy volunteered to model the welding helmet because, let’s be honest… he does all the work around here anyway. I’m basically just his assistant that pays the bills and hands him treats.

Since he works so hard holding down the shop, he got paid with his very own llama chew toy. I’d say he approves. 🦙🐾

Now excuse him while he goes to aggressively “quality test” his paycheck.

I think this new profile picture sums us up pretty well. 😂🖤🐾

Y’ALL… I think fall accidentally showed up. 🍂😂

I walked outside this morning, it was only around 90°, and for the first time in weeks… my entire body didn’t immediately file a formal complaint. I wasn’t sweating before I even unlocked the shop. 🤣

Today’s project was this custom NASDA ribbon holder featuring a Cavalier and a gerbil, and can we just appreciate the detail in that Cavalier for a second?! 😍 Those ears, the face, all the little fur details… this one was a lot of fun watching come off the plasma table.

Now it’s off to cleanup, paint, and getting it ready to hang up with a whole bunch of ribbons!
