D.A.B Models in Spain has created a detail up set for the Fujimi Ford GT-40 Mk. 1 1968 and 1969. The retail price of the 3d printed set is around $130. The set is designed for the Fujimi/Revell GT-40 kits and includes parts for the engine compartment and the front trunk.

We have the single blade sprue nippers from Squadron: The Precision Sprue Cutter and the High Precision Sprue Cutter. The Precision Sprue Cutter (yellow grips) is $24.99 and the High Precision Sprue Cutter (black grips) is $49.99. What is the difference between the two I hear you ask? In the second picture you can see that the head of the High Precision Cutter (on the left) is a bit narrower and the blade is a bit thinner than the Precision Cutter. This allows the High Precision Cutter to get into a smaller gap between the sprue and a part. This also makes the High Precision cutter not as strong as the Precision Cutter, so care must be taken to cut small sprues with the High Precision Sprue Cutter to avoid breaking off the tip of the blade. Use the Precision Cutter for medium sprues. Use the Excel Sprue Cutter for cutting thick sprues. The last picture shows the results of using each cutter to cut the same part off of a sprue. The picture shows that the High Precision Cutter leaves somewhat less of the sprue gate on the part. The part cut by the Precision cutter is marked the yellow paint.

I suggest that for most applications, the Precision Sprue Cutter (yellow grips) is a good choice. If you are dealing with small parts on small sprues, the High Precision Sprue Cutter works well. Using the Excel Sprue Cutter to cut parts off of sprues and either of the Squadron cutters to clean up the remaining bits of the sprue gate on the part is also a good choice.
