A sturdy plastic bag and a good cinch strap (Austere MFG | CNCed Cam Utility straps) really does make a great way to occasionally carry soft items on a bike rack. Stuffed the tail light into the bottom of the bag as the bag blocked the seatpost mount.

Sometimes you have to toss economics out the window and just get an answer. The multi speed freewheel on this ebike motor appeared to be slipping on the freewheel removal tool. We decided to destructively disassemble the freewheel until nothing was left but the fixed portion that screws onto the hub, which one can then directly clamp into the vise. Turns out the threading on the hub motor is stripping. This fixed portion will spin, with force, but it neither tightens, nor loosens. Unfortunately this means a new motor is needed.
