Gathered Creations is approaching 6 years of gathering, connecting and creating.🎉 6 years of providing a platform and outlet forJocy and our artists and crafters.🎨 6 years of building something meaningful for our family and community and, 6 years of meeting all of you (the most valuable “Gathered Creations”) and the support you’ve given. 😊
As I contemplate that this morning, this video popped up from March of 2020. This is in our original location, right smack dab in the middle of the Covid pandemic. We signed the lease in 2019 and weren’t able to open until September of 2020.
In this video I was at the shop alone, dreaming, planning, praying 🙏 and reflecting on our life and how thankful I was that God had brought me through my personal “dark night of the soul” and, had restored Lynette and I and our family after carrying us through so much when we didn’t have the strength.
This song welled up in me and after singing it once, the acoustics were so good and, I knew it was a holy moment, so I recorded it. 🎶
I share it with you today for you to see the beginning. Beyond the gift shop, beyond the vintage and antique items, beyond the art and art classes there is something that proceeds that. God’s love, his goodness, his peace that passes all understanding and the inspiration to do something meaningful and partner with him in this life, the life of our daughter and the lives of all of you.
