And that’s a wrap for Godfrey Christmas Trees 2025! We reflected throughout the season of the years past and celebrated our 30th year of service to the community!

The Christmas tree is a powerful symbol with several layered meanings 🎄:
1. Eternal life & hope
Because evergreen trees stay green all year, they’ve long symbolized eternity, renewal, and life that continues through winter.
2. Christian meaning
In Christianity, the tree represents everlasting life through Christ.
• The triangular shape points to the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).
• The star or angel on top symbolizes the Star of Bethlehem or the angel announcing Jesus’ birth.
3. Light in darkness
Tree lights symbolize light overcoming darkness, hope, and guidance during the darkest time of year.
4. Gifts beneath the tree
These reflect the gifts of the Magi and also the spirit of generosity, love, and sharing.
5. Pre-Christian roots
Before Christianity, evergreen trees were used in winter festivals to honor nature, fertility, and the return of the sun—a symbol of life surviving the cold.
