People of Terrell
A year ago we set out to bring something new and exciting to our town-a gourmet market featuring the finest in wild game, vegan food, exotic spices, and hard to find dry goods and produce. We also started serving unique hot meals like antelope burgers, antelope cheesesteaks, and a variety of homemade soups. We hosted tastings with elk Ossobuco, smoked Duck tacos, and other specialties.
At this point in time we find ourselves at a crossroads. Smo’ Better Food Company is first and foremost a manufacturer of gourmet dry rubs, spiced cashews, and other fine foods. The wholesale business has taken off. We are in HEB stores in North Texas, and have been picked by Central Market and Royal Blue Grocery. Our brokers are currently working on expanding the brand into Sprouts and other chains nationwide.
With all that being said, we have decided to close the gourmet market on 9th street.
Thank you to all our our loyal customers who supported us through the journey. Without you, we could not have had the success that we did. This is not goodbye. Look for us at the jubilee next year and for years to come.
