Books and Crannies Books and Crannies is located in Historic Downtown Terrell, Texas. We gladly take gently used books in trade, and we love our customers!

We are the largest and oldest bookstore in Kaufman County with over 100,000 used books in stock in all genres.

Books and Crannies will be closed on Sunday March 29 and April 5 (Easter Sunday) as the Vagabond Players will be performing a play that afternoon. If you don't have your tickets yet, there are still some available - Opening Night (March 27) and Sunday March 29 are sold out. As of now, tickets are available for the other performances. Just to let you all know: due to the weather forecast for this weekend, Books & Crannies will be CLOSED Saturday and Sunday. And the Friday night movie is CANCELLED for tomorrow night. Our sidewalk gets very slick with ice and we don’t want any accidents. Yall please stay home and stay safe and warm!!!

Please note: We will be closed tomorrow, Sunday March 23 and next Sunday, March30. We are in the middle of a play and cannot do both!!! But come see us Saturday March 29 in downtown Terrell for the Happy Days Celebration of Mom and Pop businesses. Lots going on down Moore Avenue from Rockwall to Virginia - food trucks, vendors, games, kidzone, giveaways, sales, music - LOTS of ways to enjoy the Saturday!!!
