Serenity Farm is located near Terrell, TX and home of Sue and Steve Larkin and a whole host of animals. Sue is from a medical background and Steve is from a Jack of all Trades and serial entrepreneur background. Although our small farm was bought over 20 years ago and improved over the years, it became our full time work in 2015.
We are very concerned about the quality of food that is available these days, so we began our farm as a homestead with the goal of raising all our meat and as much of our veggies, fruits, and berries as possible. We feed all our meat animals non-GMO and non-Soy feed, and use no antibiotics, growth hormones, or chemicals. In other words, our animals get to express their natural characteristics, eat bugs and grass, and exercise their muscles. All these things are essential to flavor and health. Since we have scaled up, we have been able to offer several of our farm products to the public. Our pastured pork is tender and delicious and totally healthy. Our Cornish Cross broilers (partnered with Windy Meadows Farm) are plump and taste like the chicken your Grandmother used to cook. Our Dorper sheep are pastured and delicious. They are hair sheep and do not impart the lanolin taste that is often in wool sheep. If you don’t think you like lamb, be sure to try one of our Dorper lamb chops!
