ONE WEEK until Fall Opening Day at Potted Charm!

This week it all starts arriving! We intentionally kept our fall product with our grower a little longer so it could get the absolute best care through this heat, and now it’s finally time to start filling Potted Charm for fall.

Mums, fall annuals, pumpkins, finished containers and something we are especially excited about this year… our NEW custom grown pulp planters!

These have been grown specifically for Potted Charm and come completely finished and ready to place right into your existing containers at home. We’ve already done the planting and put the combinations together for you. You just drop them in and you’re done!

Our mission has always been to make container gardening easy and I really think these are going to be such a great option for so many of you. We cannot wait for you to see them in person!

One important fall reminder: we get ONE fall delivery. We do not reorder throughout the season, so once a variety, combination or pumpkin is gone, it’s gone for the season.

We’ve spent an entire summer growing these plants, planting them in all kinds of combinations and maintaining them week after week, so at this point, we have some opinions.🤪

Isabelle and I sat down for a little rapid fire to talk favorites, surprises, what we’d plant again and probably a few things we wouldn’t. 😂

First up: our MVPs of the 2026 season.

Belle’s pick for favorite spot in the garden right now!

And I can’t disagree with her. 💗 Compact Purple SunPatiens planted in mass with that banana plant in the middle is such a good combination.

This bed is looking especially good heading into September, when plenty of other things in the garden are starting to look a little tired.

Now I need to know what’s looking best in your garden right now?

If you’re someone who seems to give up on your Supertunias by the end of summer, keep this in mind when you’re planting next year.

Pair them with lantana!

Now, your Supertunias CAN look good all summer. But they’re going to want consistent fertilizer, water and probably a haircut somewhere along the way. AND I know by late August, some of you are simply over it🤪

Meanwhile, lantana is over there LOVING this late summer heat and really starting to hit its stride.

So if you do get to the point where you pull a Supertunia or two, you’ve already got something in that container that can grow into that space and keep the whole thing looking full.

Go ahead and ditch the soil moisture meter…your SunPatiens will let you know. 😂

And I mean LET. YOU. KNOW.

There might not be a more dramatic plant when it comes to needing water. One minute everything is perfectly fine and the next they’re completely wilted over like we have a full blown emergency on our hands.

Give them a good drink and not long after, they’re right back to normal like none of it ever happened.

Now before anyone actually throws away their soil moisture meter because I told you to 😂 I DO still recommend using one for your containers, especially if you’re ever unsure if they’re ready for water.

But SunPatiens? They come with their own built in moisture meter. It’s just significantly more dramatic🙄

This planting at Four Star immediately screamed FALL to me. It’s still technically summer, but THIS is the color palette that gets me excited for that transition into fall without going straight to mums and pumpkins.

Full to Part Sun

Suncredible® Yellow II Sunflower
This is the new and improved version with better branching and even better bloom count and coverage. So much yellow and I love the height it gives this planting.

PepperFlakes Coleus
NEW for 2027 and this one is so pretty. The coloring in that foliage paired with the yellow is what makes this whole combination feel like fall to me.

Purple Fountain Grass
That darker foliage, height and movement is exactly what this combo needed.

This was actually planted in the ground at the Four Star Display Gardens, but you KNOW my brain immediately turned it into a container recipe. I’d use these same three in a big container and add an ornamental cabbage and Heuchera around the bottom.
