SIX YEARS.
At the start of a global pandemic, I started a business. While many small businesses were closing their doors, I signed a five-year lease on a storefront. Did I know what I was doing? Absolutely not. Did I figure it out? Mostly.
Horseplay started as a small dream in Bend, Oregon, and has grown into something I never could have imagined. Over the years, Horseplay has been many things—a brick-and-mortar store, multiple semi trailers, and everything in between. But what I’m most proud of isn’t how much we’ve grown; it’s what Horseplay has come to represent.
From the beginning, I wanted Horseplay to be more than a business. I wanted it to be a place where people felt like they belonged—a place that fosters community and connection, champions inclusivity, creates opportunity, and welcomes everyone. No matter how Horseplay has evolved, that mission has always remained the same.
The connections, friendships, and lessons I’ve gained along the way have been the greatest gift of all.
I will be forever grateful to everyone who has supported this journey, whether you’ve been here since day one or just found us along the way. Thank you for believing in Horseplay and in what we’re building together.
