‘ART OF THE WILD’ by Tigue Bonneval

The Pigeonnière is proud to showcase the original, one-of-a-kind works of Baton Rouge artist Tigue Bonneval Tigue Bonneval.

Rooted in the Louisiana landscape, Tigue’s work brings together the raw beauty of the natural world with the precision of hand craftsmanship. Each piece begins with an individual alligator hide, around which Tigue carefully composes the textured wood canvas and custom, hand-built frame.

Color, proportion, molding, and frame are thoughtfully considered to compliment the natural character of the hide—allowing it to remain the centerpiece of the work.

The result is something that cannot be duplicated: an original work of Louisiana art, entirely one-of-a-kind.
